The lack of transparency has concerned me for years when selling both dead or live weight slaughter lambs. When we had the subsidy paid on the lamb every aspect of prime lamb marketing was monitored and policed. Now its a free for all and no producer of lambs can work out what is the most cost effective marketing route.
